A new liveable, attractive and sustainable community for Staines-upon-Thames
Renshaw UK Limited has received outline planning permission from Spelthorne Borough Council for a new residential development of 275 apartments, including 25 affordable homes, car parking and public green space on the site of the Renshaw Industrial Estate.
The proposals will bring this mostly vacant, brownfield site back into use, providing much needed high-quality housing for the local community. The development is designed to be in-keeping with the local area and to minimise the impact on existing properties.
Renshaw UK Limited has a long-term interest in Staines-upon-Thames, having owned and managed the industrial estate since the 1930’s. After the site was badly fire-damaged, Renshaw was keen to bring forward a development of benefit to the community and leave a lasting positive legacy. Throughout the planning process, Renshaw engaged closely with council officers, councillors and the community to create a new attractive and sustainable development within Staines-Upon-Thames Town Centre.
