A new liveable, attractive and sustainable community for Staines-upon-Thames
Renshaw UK Limited has submitted an outline planning application to Spelthorne Borough Council for a new residential development of 275 apartments, including 25 affordable homes, car parking, green space and a children’s play area on the site of the Renshaw Industrial Estate.
If approved, the proposals will bring this mostly vacant, brownfield site back into use, providing much needed high-quality housing for the local community. The plans have been designed to be in-keeping with the local area and to minimise the impact on existing properties.
Renshaw UK Limited has a long-term interest in Staines-upon-Thames, having owned and managed the industrial estate for many years and is keen to leave a lasting beneficial legacy for the local community. As such, Renshaw UK Limited is proposing around £4m worth of affordable housing on-site.
You may remember that we held a public consultation in July this year. Through consulting with the local community, Renshaw UK Limited gathered the views of local people and, where possible, has incorporated feedback into the plans.
If you would like to view the plans online, please visit Spelthorne Borough Council’s planning portal at www.spelthorne.gov.uk and enter the reference number 17/01365/OUT. A planning decision on our application will be made by Spelthorne Borough Council Planning Committee in the coming months.
